What is guaranteed
Warranty
Two periods, one kind of part, and a short list of things a warranty cannot sensibly cover.
- Labor
- 90 days from the date of the repair
- Parts
- 365 days from the date of the repair
- Components
- Genuine OEM parts
- Return visit
- No second diagnostic if the same fault comes back inside either period
What that means in practice
If the fault we repaired returns inside the warranty period, we come back and there is no further diagnostic to pay. A different fault on the same appliance is a new job — a control board replaced in March does not cover a door gasket that hardens in August — but we will tell you plainly which of the two we think it is before anyone is charged.
Parts are genuine oem parts, carrying 365 days of cover. On a built-in the labor to get back behind the appliance costs more than most of the parts do, which is the whole argument for fitting the right one the first time.
Two things sit outside any repair warranty on this coast, and it is fairer to say so here than in small print. The first is corrosion returning: a condenser fin pack cleaned in spring will collect again if the coil keeps breathing onshore air, and a hinge or a damper pivot freed this year will stiffen again next year. The second is an installation fault we have identified and you have chosen not to change. If a column is rejecting its heat into a closed cabinet, the part we fit will fail on the same schedule the last one did, and the warranty covers the part rather than the cabinet around it. We would rather write that down than argue it later.
Not covered
- A different fault, on the same appliance, after the repair.
- Corrosion or ordinary wear returning through the air and the installation the appliance lives in.
- Damage from a surge, a flood, a rodent or a subsequent installation change.
- Work done by anyone else on the same appliance after our visit.
- Any manufacturer coverage. We cannot administer, extend or honour a Thermador warranty — only our own.
If your appliance is still inside its manufacturer warranty, call Thermador before you call us. Work carried out by an independent shop can affect that coverage, and we would rather you knew that first.
